Here are a few product updates you should be aware of for 2024.

CMS Bronze-to-Silver Marketplace automatic re-enrollment

New Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) re-enrollment regulations specify that if your client is on a Marketplace Bronze category plan and qualifies for extra savings, they will be automatically re-enrolled into a Marketplace Silver level plan to help lower costs in 2024. Be sure to talk to your clients during renewal season about this opportunity.

Upcoming Individual & Family renewal updates

We are working to release renewal letters about a month early this year to offer members and brokers more time during this busy season.

Urge your clients to check out our Dean Health Plan Direct plans for 2024. Direct plans offer additional benefits like annual eye exams, acupuncture, and travel immunizations.

If you have questions, please email sales@deancare.com.

Prevea360 Direct Plans to be discontinued in ‘24

Prevea360 Direct plans will not be offered in 2024. Clients in a Direct plan who are affected by this change will be automatically enrolled in the most similar plan option, effective Jan. 1, 2024. We encourage you to talk to your clients about this change and visit Prevea360.com to review plan cost-sharing options at renewal to ensure the right plan for their health insurance needs.

Prevea360 Medicare Advantage Plans to be discontinued in ’24

Prevea360 Medicare Advantage Plans will not be offered in 2024.

Prevea360 Medicare Advantage plans will not be offered in Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Oconto and Sheboygan counties in 2024. If you have written any Prevea360 Medicare Advantage business, we will send you a book of business report before the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) for you to reach out to your clients to make sure they understand the circumstances and transition them to a Medicare plan that best fits their needs.

Please note that you can’t advise this information to your clients or future clients until after Sept. 30, 2023.

Here is what you should know about this change:

  • Members will get a Service Area Reduction (SAR) letter in place of the Plan Annual Notice of Change (ANOC).
  • Members can remain on their P360 Medicare Advantage plan until Dec. 31, 2023.
  • New members can still enroll in a P360 Medicare Advantage plan until Nov. 30, 2023, with a Dec. 1, 2023 effective date. (We are not encouraging continued enrollment in order to limit disruption.)
  • Members will not be “cross walked” or transferred to another Medicare Advantage Plan.
  • If members do not select a different Medicare Advantage plan during AEP, they will default to Original Medicare on Jan. 1, 2024, and will need to get Part D coverage elsewhere, if applicable.
  • If members miss their AEP opportunity, they will be granted a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) allowing them to join another Medicare Advantage plan.
  • Service Area Reduction Special Enrollment Period (SEP SAR) begins on Dec. 8 and continues through the end of February 2024. (SAR is guaranteed issue for a Medicare Supplement plan.)

If you are an agent that sells in the Prevea360 Medicare Advantage service area, you are not required to get certified for 2024; however, you must complete 2024 certification if you want to sell our Dean Advantage Products in Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Rock, and Sauk counties.

Please contact Natasha Cook at natasha.cook@deancare.com if you would like to be removed from our 2024 training.
