NCQA Accreditation
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is an organization dedicated to measuring the quality of America's health care. Their standards are purposely set high to encourage health plans to continuously improve the quality of care and customer service.
Participation in this accreditation program is strictly voluntary. Dean Health Plan has been measuring our quality focus in this program since 1999 and is proud to have achieved the highest level attainable: "Excellent Accreditation" for the last 10 years.
For Existing Agencies / Brokers
Renewal and Adding New Agents
Dean Health Plan reviews required information submitted by our existing agency and broker partners 3 times per year, January, April and July. Please submit the following by the 1st of the month to have a new agent/broker considered for addition to your license.
• Information Sheet
• Attach a letter of intent including
- background
- expectations for sales
- geographic location(s)
- sales history
- mission statement
- any additional information that would assist us in determining if our partnership
will be an effective one.
Attendance at a Dean Health Plan training seminar is required for all new agents prior to licensing.
Prospective Agencies / Brokers
Partnering with Dean Health Plan
We review applications for new agencies/brokers in April of each year. Please submit the following information no later than February 1 for consideration.
• Information Sheet
• Attach a letter of intent including
- background
- expectations for sales
- geographic location(s)
- sales history
- mission statement
- any additional information that would assist us in determining if our partnership
will be an effective one.
Attendance at a Dean Health Plan training seminar is required for all new agents prior to licensing.
