Consolidated Appropriations Act reporting due March 31, 2024

The Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) requires health insurers to annually report plan-specific prescription drug spending and medical cost data to the Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, and the Treasury so they can analyze and issue public reports on prescription drug pricing costs and trends.

To complete this required reporting, Dean Health Plan and Prevea360 Health Plan need to collect the following information from all employer groups that had active coverage at any time in 2023:
  • Employer name
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Total premium (or premium equivalent if self-insured) paid by the employer
  • Total premium (or premium equivalent if self-insured) paid by the employee
  • Plan ID (if applicable): a 3-digit number used by the Department of Labor, IRS, and ERISA to identify one employee welfare plan from another among a company's benefit offerings
We’ve sent requests for this information earlier this month to all employees who were covered at any time in 2023, with information due back by March 31, 2024.
