Loretta Lorenzen's responsibilities include oversight of health plan provider networks strategy, development and ongoing management.
Loretta and her team designed and implemented our current value-based pay-for-performance provider contracting model, which aligns provider incentives and health plan goals relating to increased provider quality outcomes, patient satisfaction and effectiveness of care.
Prior to joining SSM Health-Dean Health Plan in 2011, Loretta held health plan and payor operations and contracting leadership roles at a number of leading managed care and provider organizations including Aetna, CIGNA, Ascension/Wheaton Franciscan Services Inc., and Assurant.
Her educational background is as varied as her professional experience, having earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she majored in International Relations/Economics and German. Loretta also attended Marquette University, studying law and earning a Certificate in Management.
In her spare time, Loretta enjoys spending time with family, entertaining friends, traveling and enjoying yoga. She is also active in a number of community and church volunteer activities.
