I have Dean Advantage and other dental coverage, what should I do?
Tell your dentist that you have dental coverage through your Medicare Advantage plan and a secondary carrier. Take your ID cards to your appointment. Your primary insurance (Dean Advantage) will process first and your secondary dental insurance will process second. Having dual coverage does not guarantee no out-of-pocket responsibilities.
Can I see any dentist?
Your Dean Advantage dental coverage does not cover services performed by an out-of-network dentist.
What is my dental coinsurance?
A coinsurance is the amount you may be required to pay as your share of the cost for dental services after you pay any deductibles. Coinsurance is usually a percentage of the total cost (for example, 20%).
