Time for Kids: Time to Talk phone bank will help answer parents' mental health questions

As part of our year-long Time for Kids: Time to Talk campaign, SSM Health is partnering with WISC-TV on a special back-to-school mental health phone bank the evening of Thursday, August 31,during WISC-TV’s evening newscasts.

As healthcare providers, parents and friends, we recognize that the start of a new school year can be fraught with stress and anxiety. From stepping into the classroom for the first time to heading to a new grade or school and even the transition from a slower-paced summer into the busy new school year can throw kids off. The Time for Kids: Time to Talk back-to-school mental health phone bank will offer expert advice to parents and caregivers looking for help in managing the issues that may arise.

SSM Health providers Dr. Robert Peyton; Rhea Vacha, APSW; Dr. Kathleen Hipke; and Dr. Michael Trias will be on hand to answer questions and provide on camera interviews about back-to-school stress and anxiety during WISC-TV’s Live at 4, News 3 at 5, and News 3 at 6.

Parents and caregivers interested in asking questions regarding back-to-school mental health issues are welcome to call (608) 274-4000.
