Carve Out Couple Time

Find easy ways to reconnect this holiday season.

From parties and school events to shopping, cooking and wrapping, you’ll find no shortage of tasks to fill the December calendar. Squeeze in time for your significant other with easy date ideas that will bring relaxation and fun to the hectic holiday season.

  • Make Holiday Tasks More Enjoyable: You have to get the holiday shopping done, so why not make it easier (and less stressful) by doing it together? Hire a babysitter and hit the local mall for a couple of hours, and you’ll be amazed by how much you can get done without the kids in tow. Then reward yourselves with a movie or nice dinner out before heading home to the little ones.
  • Act Like Kids: Why should your kids have all the fun during the winter months? Enjoy some good old-fashioned outdoor activities like ice-skating at the local park, sledding or cross-country skiing. Then warm up at a local café and leave the gift lists and other distractions at home.
  • Grab a Quick Bite: No time to spare over the weekend? Block off a workday lunch hour and make plans to meet your special someone for a meal or coffee. It will give you something to look forward to during the week and leave weekends and evenings free for your holiday to-dos.
  • Do Good: Reconnect with your partner while helping those in need. Our list of local volunteer opportunities includes easy ways to do good over a lunch hour or in a single evening.

How do you find time for you and your spouse during the hectic holiday season? Tell us in the comments below and you could win* a $50 gift card to use towards a romantic dinner!
