It’s not easy to keep your skin looking fabulous. It takes hard work and a combination of the right products, sunscreens and maintenance. But, did you know that what you put on your plate can also impact that youthful glow?

1. Wet your whistle

However, you can’t eat a cheese curd and combat your wrinkles. Make sure you look for low-fat versions of milk and cheese that are loaded with Vitamin A.

6. Be nutty

Almonds are rich in Vitamin E and help moisturize your skin from within. They also protect your skin from premature aging. Grab a handful and help your facial tissue stay in shape.

7. Holy guacamole!

Avocados aren’t just an essential element to your favorite dip. This creamy, green fruit is abundant in essential oils and B-complex vitamins that help nourish your skin – both inside and out.

8. Gobble it up

Pick turkey over other lunchtime meats for a high concentration of zinc. The mineral found in turkey contains elastin fibers and collagen that help preserve skin’s firmness and elasticity. Roasted or smoked turkey is the healthiest choice since flavored turkey contains sugar and salt additives. Quick tip: instead of a sandwich, toss your turkey with spinach leaves. Popeye would be proud.
