Common Health Concerns

  • I’m having difficulty getting pregnant.
Dean Medical Group's Ob/Gyn providers can help you answer the questions you have about your reproductive health. We will help diagnose your infertility issues, and provide a variety of treatment options including insemination.
  • I had an abnormal pap smear.
Cervical cellular changes that occur in a woman’s life are most often detected by a pap smear as part of an annual exam or other type of visit. If you receive an abnormal pap smear result, our doctors will help you manage your condition. One treatment option is the loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP), which treats abnormal cervical cell changes. We also use colposcopy.
  • Sex has been painful lately, and I’m having vaginal pain and discomfort.
A woman’s life can be affected when experiencing painful intercourse, vaginal pain and discomfort. Dean Medical Group's Vulvar Clinic is based within the Ob/Gyn Department and uses a multidisciplinary approach to treatment of vulvar disorders and vulvo-vaginal pain (vulvodynia). We are here to partner with you in your care.
  • I’m having bladder control issues.
Bladder control issues used to be a topic that no one discussed. Today, there is hope for the many women with incontinence issues, including frequency, urgency and prolapse. We have doctors who have many years of experience in treating incontinence through behavior modification, medications and surgery. They will work with you in understanding your problem and possible solutions.
  • Menopause is really difficult lately.
If your symptoms are getting in the way of daily life, our doctors specialize in managing menopause and its variety of issues. There are options to make life more enjoyable during this time.
  • Endometriosis runs in my family, and I think I’m having the symptoms.
Our providers can diagnosis and manage your endometriosis.
  • I need to have surgery.
Learning that you need surgery is a time of great concern. Our Ob/Gyn surgeons are specially trained in diagnosis and management of gynecologic cancers (uterine, cervical, vulvar, vaginal and ovarian) and perform many minimally-invasive procedures including hysterectomies. We partner with gynecological oncologists in order to serve your every need.
