Provider Newsletters

Communication between Dean Health Plan (DHP) and our network of plan providers is very important to us all! One of the ways we communicate information to our plan providers is through our newsletter, Provider News. We have distributed the newsletter since 1988 and hope you find it is a valuable resource. With a mailing list that includes our plan practitioners and providers the newsletter helps us get the most current information to you. Regular features of the newsletter include any updates to existing or the creation of new medical policies made by the Utilization Management committee during the previous quarter, any changes to the provider network, and our Spotlight on Clinical Controversies series contributed by DHP's Vice President of Medical Affairs, Tom Hirsch, MD, MS.

Each issue of Provider News contains information that we feel will be valuable to the DHP network. This is consistent with our Provider News mission statement, which we'd like to share with you:

The goal of Provider News is to:

  • Educate the DHP provider network of new or changed guidelines that affect the care given to our members;
  • Introduce new services offered by DHP that affect the DHP provider network or our members; and
  • Create an extension of the Provider Manual and Provider Directory to share information that is needed by the DHP provider network.
