Free Skin Cancer Screening in Dodgeville May 30th

Your Best Defense: Early Detection

DODGEVILLE, WI – In support of early detection and skin cancer prevention, local healthcare professionals are offering a free skin cancer screening during May. The screening will be held Friday, May 30th from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Dean/St. Mary’s Dermatology, 833 S. Iowa Street in Dodgeville. The service is provided by dermatology specialists Jennifer Peterson, MD and Sarah Motl, PA-C. Appointments are required by calling 935-1151.

Skin cancer is the most common of all cancers, with more than one million cases diagnosed annually. But with early detection, more than 90-percent of skin cancer can be cured. Coupled with a monthly self-examination, an annual skin exam by a healthcare provider is one of the best ways to detect the early warning signs of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma--the three main types of skin cancer.

Dean/St. Mary’s Dermatology in Dodgeville is part of the Dean/St. Mary’s Regional Clinic network. A joint venture of Dean Health System and St. Mary’s Hospital—both of Madison—it is one of the largest networks of physician practices in the Midwest. To schedule an appointment with Dean/St. Mary’s Dermatology in Dodgeville, please call 935-1151 or visit www.deancare.com for more information.
