DEAN HEALTH SYSTEM PHARMACIST HONORED AS PHARMACIST OF THE YEAR
MADISON, WI – Jamie Statz-Paynter has been named 2006 Pharmacist of the Year by the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin.
The award is given annually to an individual who has made significant, influential and sustained contributions to pharmacy practice in Wisconsin.
Statz-Paytner, a Dean Pharmacy supervisor for Dean Health System in Madison, was recognized for her enthusiastic, dedicated and future-thinking approach, according to nominator Brian Apel. “Jamie will always strive to press the envelope and improve the direction in which pharmacy is headed in order to increase its positive impact on the patients we serve.”
Statz-Paynter graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in 1983. She is also a clinical instructor with the UW School of Pharmacy and has mentored pharmacy students since 1992.
