OPHTHALMOLOGIST CHRISTINA DELANY SETS HER SIGHTS ON SUN PRAIRIE
SUN PRAIRIE, WI – Focusing on the finish line is what pushes Christina Delany, MD, to keep her body moving when she’s swimming, biking and running in a triathlon. Focusing on her patient’s eye health is what keeps Dr. Delany motivated in the eye clinic. It’s that clear vision on success that will make Dr. Delany the perfect fit as the new ophthalmologist at Davis Duehr Dean-Sun Prairie (10 Tower Drive, Sun Prairie, WI).
Dr. Delany believes focusing on a team approach to eye care means success to both the patient and her practice. “If the patient understands what’s happening, why it’s happening and how to help it they’re more likely to comply with treatment,” said Dr. Delany. “We can work together to make the treatment a team approach and be equally excited by the success.”
Dr. Delany received her medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. She completed her internship at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and her residency in Ophthalmology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.
Dr. Delany is board eligible in ophthalmology. “I enjoy helping people with a wide range of ocular diseases from glaucoma and cataracts to macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy,” said Dr. Delany. “Helping someone have a better quality of life makes my work worthwhile.”
Before officially beginning her practice at Davis Duehr Dean-Sun Prairie, Dr. Delany traveled to Guatemala for a two-week medical mission. She volunteered her services and treated patients in an eye clinic and performed various ophthalmology surgeries.
Dr. Delany is a member of the American Academy
of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology,
State Medical Society and American
Medical Women’s Association.
In her free time, Dr. Delany enjoys scuba diving, skiing, reading and triathlons.
Dr. Delany will see patients at the Davis Duehr Dean-Sun Prairie clinic at 10 Tower Drive, Sun Prairie. The clinic can be reached at (608) 825-3008.
