MOONEY TO BECOME CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

MADISON, WI – Allison Mooney will become Chief Operating Officer of Dean Health System (DHS); overseeing business and clinical operations. Ms. Mooney has been Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Dean Health Plan since 2001. She replaces Kevin Hayden who left the organization in February.

"We are very fortunate to add an individual with such an impressive background in operations to the DHS senior management team," said Mark Kaufman, MD, DHS Chairman of the Board of Directors. "Allison brings a results-oriented management philosophy that relies on team building, collaboration, measurement, and benchmarking, he added."

"I enthusiastically look forward to my role implementing the organizational strategies that will benefit our care delivery system and every patient encounter," said Mooney who will assume her new position July 1st.

Ms. Mooney joined Dean Health Plan 16 years ago and served in a variety of capacities including Vice President of Finance. She was a Senior Financial Analyst for the Fargo Clinic in North Dakota and a Reimbursement Specialist for Lutheran Hospitals and Homes Society, also in North Dakota. Ms. Mooney holds a Masters Degree in Health Administration and a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Business Administration.
