Dean Therapy Services / Speech Therapy

Dean's certified and licensed Speech and Language Pathologists provide evaluation and treatment services to children and adults with:

  • speech or language delays
  • stuttering
  • cleft palate
  • voice problems
  • chewing and swallowing problems
  • cognitive dysfunction, including learning disabilities
  • aphasia (loss of language - usually caused by stroke or brain injury) and other communicative disorders

Physician referral is required for speech therapy services. Evaluation and therapy programs may be coordinated with other disciplines within the clinic, with community agencies and school systems, and family members to assure continuity of care.

Specific diagnostic services include videofluoroscopic swallowing studies, videostroboscopic laryngeal evaluations, instrumental analysis of vocal function, and standardized cognitive/achievement testing.

Dean Speech Therapy also offers a specialized Accent Reduction Program, designed for foreign-born professionals who wish to improve their spoken English and pronunciation by reducing a foreign accent or regional dialect.
