Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)
Dean Health System's Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) specialists specialize in women’s reproductive health. They provide comprehensive medical care for female reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and help prevent, identify and treat health and medical issues that face today’s women.
Obstetricians
and gynecologists have training in both obstetrics (the medical
specialty of providing health care for women during pregnancy,
childbirth and post-partum care, and gynecology
(the medical specialty of diseases of the female reproductive
system).
Dean's OB/GYN specialists provide women's health examinations, birth control options, and menopause management. They provide specialty care for management of fertility, pregnancy, and gynecological disorders and diseases including endometriosis, incontinence, and gynecological cancers. Our obstetricians and gynecologists provide surgical treatment when necessary.
During their early adult and childbearing years, many women select an OB/GYN physician as their primary care provider (PCP) for all of their reproductive health care needs. Some women prefer to see an OB/GYN physician only during their pregnancy.
Dean's OB/GYN specialists serve as consultants to other physicians in matters related to women's health. High risk pregnancies are referred to OB/GYN for specialized care before and after birth.
Dean also offers a Vulvar Clinic in Madison, for women suffering from painful vulvar conditions.
