Celebrate the season with SSM Health

At SSM Health we believe our community is part of our family. This holiday season we are proud to share our celebrations with you.

Season of Giving

Already this season we’ve been privileged to provide some holiday cheer to families in need through regional food drives that provide needed items to food pantries all across Wisconsin in partnership with Second Harvest.

Staff at our Madison-area locations collected and put together large Thanksgiving bins to help families in need at our Madison Adopt-a-School partner Lincoln Elementary. This annual staff drive provides needed food and assistance to more than 115 families in need and is just one of many holiday events we partner with Lincoln Elementary on every year. Later in the season a group of students will visit SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison to sing holiday songs for staff, providers, patients and visitors.

On Saturday, November 19, staff in Janesville will partner with Everyone Cooperating to Help Others (ECHO) to help pack food items that will provide traditional Thanksgiving meals to low-income families living in Rock County.

Throughout the month of December our staff will continue to give back through various local and regional programs that include clothing, food and toy drives for those in need. We feel honored and privileged to provide needed support to our friends, neighbors and community during this beautiful season.

Celebrating Together

Part of the joy of the holiday season is sharing it with those you love and care about. SSM Health is privileged to celebrate the beauty of the holidays with the communities we serve.

On November 12 we were proud to partner with Outlets at the Dells for the Light up Your Holidays event. The day-long event included compression-only CPR training, health information, a tree-lighting and free concerts by the Disney Channel’s Ashley Argata and The Voice contestants Andi and Alex. Attendees were encouraged to donate teddy bears for a special shopping voucher. All donated bears will be given to children and patients at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital when they are in need of something soft to hold during a time of great need.

We are excited to be sponsoring this year’s Downtown Baraboo Christmas Light Parade on Saturday, November 19. Come out for some holiday cheer in the form of lighted floats, reindeer, marching bands and more in Downtown Baraboo.

Each year we are honored to help area families honor their loved ones – deceased or living – through our Lights of Love program. We hope you will join us at one of our hospital locations to celebrate the season and those honored with purchased lights:
