Steady Strides one of the top orthopedic programs in the nation

The Steady Strides Total Joint Replacement Program has received national recognition.

OrthoServiceLine.com chose five healthcare organizations that have transformed their orthopedic programs as finalists for the Ortho Transformation Award. Judges selected the
finalists based on criteria including the size of the challenge undertaken, the use of teamwork and results.

SSM and Dean Clinic launched the Steady Strides Joint Replacement Network last fall, making the same patient-centric care delivery model available to patients across South Central Wisconsin. Whether their care is provided at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison or St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital, patients will receive the same high quality, evidence-based care. The program has a strong emphasis on patient education and involvement, and features a dedicated care coordinator at each location to ensure seamless transitions from the surgeon’s office to the hospital and beyond.

“It’s an honor for our Steady Strides program to be recognized by one of the leading resources for orthopedic services in the country,” said Wendy Hall, program development and system integration lead. “The team has succeeded not only in developing an exceptional joint replacement program to help our patients regain their quality of life, but also in achieving an unprecedented level of teamwork and collaboration - across sites of care, across specialties and disciplines, and across geographies as well.”

As a Transformation Award finalist the Steady Strides team will receive a trophy that will be on display at each location on a rotating basis.
