Dean Health Plan Ranks Highest in Member Satisfaction

March 9, 2015 (Madison, Wis.) – Dean Health Plan ranks highest in member satisfaction with health plans in the Minnesota-Wisconsin region. This is according to the J.D. Power 2015 U.S. Member Health Plan StudySM released today. This is the second year in a row that Dean Health Plan has earned this distinction, which was also received in each year from 2009 to 2012.

Now in its ninth year, the study measures member satisfaction amongst over 31,500 people in 134 health plans in 18 regions throughout the U.S. by examining six key factors: coverage and benefits; cost; provider choice; customer service; information and communication; and claims processing.

Dean Health Plan achieved the highest overall score of any health plan in the Minnesota-Wisconsin region, receiving the highest score in the region for:

  • Coverage and benefits
  • Information and communication
  • Cost
  • Claims processing

Frank Lucia, Dean Health Plan’s President and CEO, is honored by the award and the trust area members put in Dean Health Plan. “Dean Health Plan’s integrated system with doctors, clinics and hospitals working together allows us to meet our members’ health care needs in today’s ever-changing market. We thank our members for their support and recognition of these efforts,” Lucia said.
