Dean Clinic and WISC-TV3 Plan the Buddy Project Day of Kindness

The Buddy Project Day of Kindness is scheduled for June 4 and invites all area community members to be kind to one another.

As part of our community partnership, Dean Clinic and WISC-TV3 are expanding our Time For Kids: The Buddy Project into a special Buddy Project Day of Kindness on June 4, 2014.

This Buddy Project Day of Kindness is part of our year-long campaign focused on taking a stand against bullying in our schools and throughout our communities. This past fall, we distributed over 290,000 Be A Buddy, Not A Bully wristbands and pledge cards to students, teachers, families and community members across the state of Wisconsin.

Now, we’re making one simple request of area residents: Be Kind. Whether that’s simply smiling and holding the door open for someone or paying for coffee for the person behind you in line, we want to spread the message that it doesn’t take much time, money or effort to be kind to one another.

On June 4, we invite people to share stories, photos or videos of kind acts by emailing beabuddy@wisctv.com, by posting them to Facebook at facebook.com/channel3000 and on Twitter by mentioning @WISCTV_News3 and using the #beabuddy hashtag. Stories shared with us may be included in special coverage on WISC-TV throughout the day on June 4.

Dean Clinic and WISC-TV would like to recognize and thank the following communities for declaring June 4 the Buddy Project Day of Kindness in their community via an official proclamation: Baraboo, Beloit, Columbus, Janesville, Madison, Middleton, Milton, Stoughton, Waunakee and the Wisconsin Dells.

You can find more information about the Buddy Project Day of Kindness, including simple acts of kindness and informational flyers about the community-wide event, at deancare.com/time4kids.
