Carolyn J. Ogland, MD

Carolyn J. Ogland, MD, is the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Dean Health System. Carolyn came to Dean Clinic in 1989 as a practicing Pediatric physician. She served as Secretary for the Dean Clinic Board of Directors from 1995-1996. Following her term on the Board of Directors, Carolyn served as Dean’s Medical Director from 1996-2004 when she assumed her current position as Vice President of Medical Affairs.

Carolyn also served on the Ronald McDonald Board of Directors from 2002-2005.

Carolyn earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1986. She went on to intern in Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital from 1986-1987 and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Lutheran General Hospital from 1987-1989.

Carolyn chose to work at Dean Clinic because of the outstanding physicians and care teams. She feels that the emphasis is and has always been about doing what is best for our patients. She entered healthcare administration because it allows her to enlarge her patient base by being involved at a system level where she can continue to improve and provide the best care possible for Dean’s patients.

Outside of the office, Carolyn enjoys cooking, needlepoint, reading and seeing the world via biking. You will often also find her volunteering at her sons’ swim events and participating in sprint triathlons.
