MyChart
Now Available to More Smartphone Users
The Wait is Over for Android Users! Reintroducing
the MyChart app
As of this week, an app that was once
available to only Apple users is now an option for Android users. The release of the MyChart app for Android
joins the Apple iOS app to offer even more on-the-go options.
You can always access
MyChart from any internet-connected computer. The MyChart
app is for Apple iOS (such as an iPhone®, iPadtm, or iPod touch®)
and Android devices. It provides fast, secure access to the most frequently
used features of MyChart.
MyChart is Epic Systems Corporation’s web portal to the electronic medical
systems used by Dean, as well as other leading healthcare companies across the
country. MyChart users are able to quickly access their medical records,
send private messages to Dean Clinic doctors or care providers, see upcoming
appointments, get instant lab results and much more.
“When you access
MyChart on a smartphone, you get true mobility, instant access and optimized
convenience,” says D.J. Curren, Dean Clinic Project Manager. “Typical users are
patients who travel frequently, salespeople who spend a lot of time on the
road, students, and those who have come to rely on mobile devices for internet
access and messaging.”
In September 2010, Dean
Clinic officially became the first healthcare organization in the country to
offer its patients mobile access to their medical records with the MyChart app.
To use the mobile MyChart app on iOS or Android devices, you must first have a
MyChart account. If you do not already have a MyChart account setting one up is
