Dean Foundation to Offer Free Mental Health Screenings This Week
Dean Clinic-West is the Site of Mental Health Screenings During Mental Health Awareness Week
This week is National Mental Health Awareness week. Dean Foundation is here to help by hosting free presentations and free confidential depression screenings on Wednesday October 6. This service is available for the general public and will take place at Dean Clinic – West, 752 N High Point Rd, Madison, WI.
Depression screening will take place from 10am-3pm & 5pm-6:30pm. Anyone interested will have a chance to complete a brief screening questionnaire and speak one-on-one with a mental health professional. Information will be provided on where and how to access help, counseling and treatment.
There will also be two presentations available for the general public. “Depression 101: What You Need to Know”, by Dr David Dowell, will take place from Noon-1pm and “How You May Benefit from Depression Research”, from 5:30pm-6:30pm, by Dr Leslie Taylor.
Free depression screens will also be given over the phone for those who are not able to attend in person. Please call JoAnn at 608.827-2333 to be screened over the phone.
