It's Flu Season

Flu Season UpdateThe U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses. Just like 2010, your seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccination is included in one shot, which means getting vaccinated is easier than ever. Dean Health Plan is committed to ensuring you have access to this important step in maintaining your health and well-being.

  • The easiest way to get your flu vaccine is to see your Dean Primary Care Provider. Simply make an appointment or attend one of the flu clinics offered by your provider. There is no charge when you get a flu shot from your Dean doctor.
  • If you are unable to see your provider, you can get vaccinated at another provider, pharmacy or retail location of your choice. Dean Health Plan members can be reimbursed up to $26 for shots provided at these locations.

If you use a non-Dean provider for your flu vaccination, please submit a Flu Shot Claim Form with a copy of your receipt to Dean Health Plan.

Dean on Call is a free telephone service available to Wisconsin residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you're not sure you need to see a doctor, or you're wondering if you have a problem, give us a call.

Registered Nurses On the Line

Experienced registered nurses at Dean on Call are always available to answer your questions and concerns. When responding to your call, they draw on years of clinical experience in many medical specialties.

NOTE: Due to licensing regulations, Dean on Call's triage services are only available to residents of Wisconsin.
